A creator’s page made with UniPage’s AI website builder

Most website builders hand you an empty template and a long list of settings. An AI website builder starts from the other end: you say what you do, and it puts together a first version of the page for you, with the sections, the words and the layout already in place. You spend your time correcting and choosing, not filling in boxes.

That difference matters most for people whose work is not building websites: models, DJs, photographers, coaches, creators. This guide explains what an AI website builder really does, where it saves you time, and what you should still check yourself before you share the link.

What an AI website builder actually does

Under the name are three separate jobs, and good builders do all of them:

  1. Drafting. From a sentence or two about you, it picks the sections your kind of work needs (a gallery and measurements for a model, mixes and dates for a DJ, packages and a booking form for a photographer) and writes a first version of each.
  2. Editing on request. Instead of finding the right setting, you type what you want: “make the page darker”, “move my mixes above the dates”, “write a shorter line under my name”.
  3. The fiddly work. Sorting photos into categories, writing descriptions for them, adding a product from its shop link, splitting a pasted itinerary into days. Small jobs that take ages by hand.

What it does not do is know your prices, your dates or your clients. Anything factual still comes from you, and a careful builder leaves those parts for you to fill in rather than inventing them.

How it works on UniPage

UniPage is built around this way of working, and the whole page can be made on your phone.

  1. Say what you do. Choose your kind of work, or describe yourself in your own words, and a first draft is written for you.
  2. Add your photos. From your camera roll, or from Unsplash when you need one you don’t have.
  3. Pick a look and publish. Each template changes the fonts, colours and layout of every section at once, and your content stays as it is.

After that, the AI Editor stays one tap away at the top of the editor. It works on the section you are looking at, so “make this shorter” means this section, not the whole page.

Things people ask it to do

  • “Sort my photos into Editorial and Commercial”
  • “Add Fabric, London on 14 March”
  • “Add a 1:1 session for €80”
  • “Translate my page into Spanish”
  • “Show me how it looks on a computer”, then “Publish it”

Each change appears on the page as it happens, and each can be undone with one tap.

AI website builder, template builder or link in bio?

These three get mixed up because they all end in a link you can put in your bio. They suit different people.

If all you need is to point people to three other places, a list of links is enough. If people should see your work, book you or buy from you without leaving, you want a page. We compare the options in more detail in Linktree alternatives for creators.

How to get a good page out of an AI builder

The first draft is only as good as what you tell it. A few habits make a big difference.

  • Be specific when you describe yourself. “Fashion and commercial model based in Prague, represented in Milan” gives a far better draft than “model”.
  • Use your own photos first. Stock photos are fine for a background, but people book you for your work. Put your strongest picture on the cover.
  • Ask for one change at a time. “Move the booking form to the top” works better than five instructions in one sentence.
  • Paste what you already have. An itinerary, a list of past clients or last year’s rates can be split into the right sections for you, instead of being typed again.

What to check before you publish

AI saves the typing, not the judgement. Before you share the link:

  • Read every line out loud. It should sound like you.
  • Check every price, date, address and number yourself.
  • Tap every button and link once, on your phone.
  • Look at the page on a computer too, not just a phone.
  • Make sure the way to contact or book you is obvious within one scroll.

Who it suits

An AI website builder is most useful when your page needs more than links but you have better things to do than design it. On UniPage there are pages ready for models, DJs and musicians, photographers, creators, coaches and travel agents, each starting with the sections that kind of work needs.

Questions

Is an AI website builder free?
Most let you build for free and charge to publish. On UniPage, building is free with no sign-up, your page is live free for 7 days with no card, and plans start at $4 a month after that.
Can I still edit the page by hand?
Yes. Everything the AI writes or changes is an ordinary part of your page: you can tap any word, photo or section and change it yourself, and every AI change can be undone in one tap.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes. You can describe yourself and give instructions in any language, and the page is written in the language you use.
Can I use my own domain?
Every page gets a free address like yourname.unipage.me. Connecting a domain you own, like yourname.com, comes with the Pro and Business plans.
